Reverend Michael Jaglowicz was born in Ontario Canada on August 18, 1872.
His parents were Michael Jaglowicz 1834 – 1891 and Rosine Laschewski 1835 – 1913. His parents emigrated from Poland to Canada in 1865. They were farmers by trade. He was one of nine children.
In 1891 Rev. Michael Jaglowics entered The Gregorian University located in Rome, Italy.
On May 30, 1896 he was ordained by Cardinal Cassetta in the Basilica of St. Mary Major in Rome.
He returned to Canada in July 1897 and stayed with his family through September 1898.
He then traveled to St. Mary’s College in St. Mary’s, KY in September 1898. His position at the college was Disciplinarian.
In July 1899 he was promoted to Vice President of St. Mary’s College.
In July 1901 he was promoted to President of St. Mary’s College.
Rev. Michael Jaglowicz died on November 10, 1943 in the JA Baute Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, KY after a battle with stomach cancer.

St. Joseph Mission Church was built and opened March 1908, the first stained glass on the northside of the church was dedicated to Rev. Michael Jaglowicz, President of the St. Mary Seminarian College, which was four miles northeast of the church. Rev. Michael Jaglowicz was definitely supported and played a part in the construction and dedication of the St. Joseph Church.
In 1942 a wall altar was dedicated in memory of Rev. Michael Jaglowicz, in a new chapel at the St. Mary’s Seminarian College. In the early 1970’s the St. Mary’s College gave the wall altar to St. Joseph Church.
